She Who Fell into Darkness and Lit a Fire

Welcome to my senior year AP art portfolio! Here's a written expiation for this body of work: This past year, I learned that it is only when we break that we can be rebuilt. That change can feel like being lost. But in that darkness, we are faced with who we really are. I fell harder than I had ever fallen, but I also found myself reflected in the ancient stories that shaped my childhood. My sustained investigation explores the use of spiritual symbolism, divine feminine archetypes, and mythology to reflect my own journey of healing, identity, and personal transformation. It speaks of approaching life not as a broken thing that needs to be fixed, but as a story in progress.
